Job Description

UKG is looking to hire a Software Engineering Manager to lead one or two teams within the Platform Documents, Forms and E-Signatures domain. You will be responsible for team flow, delivery, happiness, and continuous improvement. You will work with other engineering managers, product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to help your team(s) develop quality software aligned with product and company objectives. Our teams are global and most of our people work remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading 1 or 2 global cross-functional teams, building an environment based on transparency, accountability, and trust
  • Aligning team objectives with product and enterprise objectives
  • Helping your team(s) flow efficiently towards their objectives and empowering them to deliver quality software
  • Facilitating inner and outer team interactions, protecting the team from disturbance
  • Helping your team(s) identify and implement process improvement
  • Helping your team(s) give visibility on plans and progress to stakeholders
  • Coaching your team members and supporting them in their professional development
  • Recruiting the best talent to help your team(s) achieve their objectives

Preferred Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in managing software engineering teams, ideally in a remote/distributed setting
  • Experience coaching and mentoring engineers
  • Experience in software and web development, ideally in SaaS
  • Good knowledge of agile software development practices
  • Knowledge of architecture and design patterns
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

This role can be office based in Paris or remote in France, UK, Netherlands and Germany.
